The Old Way
The Denver Post drops their printing of advertisements on my driveway every Sunday. I have asked them to stop as this is one small waste of resources. But, alas, you can not stop the will of the Denver Post.
As an aside, I did get some use out of the paper this week. I used this photo as a lesson to my oldest on my approach to photo angles as well as depth of field. A f/1.4 50mm lens with the camera nearly on the ground made a boring snapshot much more interesting in my view. Not sure I like the pink cast to the photo though.
Meat…..
My wife can cook….I am a lucky man. This was a tasty sandwich that was waiting for me the other night. I think it was brisket, I know it was tasty. I had two.
Everywhere I look
It seems that if you take the time too look around, there are cool things to see. Light works magic on the most mundane of objects.
Be Prepared
The highest award in Boy Scouting is Eagle. It is an awesome achievement. I truly is a recognition of the future of American (and world wide) leadership. At the ceremony awarding the Eagle Scout, they receive a medal. Across the top is the all important Boy Scout motto “Be Prepared”.
Indeed, Be Prepared. An Eagle Scout is nothing if not prepared for anything.
I shot this photograph with a 50 mm 1.4 lens to achieve this really cool focal effect. Personally, I love the shot. I hope you do to…leave me a comment would ya!
More Buildings, More iPhone
The NCAA Tournament is in full swing. And I am planted on the couch. During these time-outs, I thought I might edit another high-rise photo for you.
You may notice I picked a green tint. You see, buildings are money.
Xcel Building on the FLY!
Bear with me. I am walking through the mall, bored, and blogging from the iPhone.
This is a shot I took during a meeting this past week. The Xcel building is the newest skyscraper in Denver. Also notable is that it sold for $480 psf. Only time will tell if that was a good number!
